Tuition,
Registration, & Requirements are located in the School Catalog.
As much as DFE tech would like to be able to
finance our students, we are not as
affluent as our fine banking institutions appear to
be these days. DFE tech is not an
'accredited' school with credits issued for
semester hours like a College or
University. Instead, DFE tech requires the
successful completion of 168 hours of
class and is known as a Texas Career School, based
on hours alone. As such,
we do not qualify for Pell Grants, Fannie May
loans, Freddie Mac Loans, or other
Federally backed scholastic loans. Thus, we are not
issued a Federal School Number.
We do, however, have limited sources that assist
students with tuition...
A) The Texas
Workforce Commission
The TWC will assist you with tuitions
if you are unemployed, and if
they have funds to do so...
The TWC is funded by the Federal Government ( your
tax money ). You
have to reside in Texas to apply to the TWC for funding.
The grant, if successful, does not require you
to pay it back. It
often takes the TWC 30 to 90+ days to process an application.
Start your application last month, if possible,
if you use this resource.
Most TWC regions will pay approximately 70% of your
Tuition & Registration fees.
Check with

for further details concerning scholarships
of up to $3,000 for qualified TWC applicants and
others.
B)

If you didn't serve your country for the cause
of Freedom, you should have.
If you had, your country might be serving you with
tuition assistance.

C)
The local Credit Union, Personal Bank, or Family
Loans
D)
Corporate Sponsorship
Fluids Companies often send employees to Mud
School. The student is sponsored
by the Fluids Company and is employed during school
& after graduation by that Company.
Searching for a Fluids Company to provide education
& employment is not advised.
These employed attendees are selected by the Fluids
Company from within
and rarely support outside solicitation.
